About me

My name is Jack Lado and I am a Sophomore at the University of Michigan who is interested in studying Economics alongside Entrepreneurship. Last year I was part of a Business research lab called ODESI that was interviewing leaders in order to find common traits that made great leaders great. After interviewing a few leaders for the lab, I became enraptured by the idea of interviewing people and it started to become a huge personal passion project of mine. Throughout my personal journey of interviewing great individuals, I have sent out more than 400 emails to different leaders and entrepreneurs and have seen many rejections come my way. However, I have also had the opportunity to learn so much from so many great people. Whether it be Steve Blank, who has taken 3 companies public or Mike McFall who is the co-founder of the renowned coffee chain Biggby, I have been able to learn more about not only what it takes to be successful but also how to become a better human being.

Why now?

Ever since I started my interviews, I wanted to have a way to not only discuss what I have learned but also share it with other people. I feel that my journey over the last year has been very unique and that this blog will become a good way to express how I've grown and what I've learned. I am very excited for this opportunity!
